Membership
Join the Octopus Future ecosystem
Universities, research institutes, labs and companies can join us as members and partners — collaborating on accessibility, inclusion and responsible AI for public benefit.
Building a more inclusive future is a team effort. We welcome universities, research institutes, labs and companies to join Octopus Future as members and partners — contributing expertise, capacity and reach, and helping our charitable work go further.
Membership here means being part of a collaborative ecosystem working toward shared public-benefit goals. It is not the same as becoming a statutory member of the company: formal arrangements are entered under our Constitution and governance, and always in a way that protects the charity's independence and public-benefit purpose.
Members & partners we welcome
Different organisations bring different strengths. Here's how each can take part.
Universities
Collaborate on applied, public-benefit research and evaluation, involve students, and connect academic expertise with real accessibility needs.
Research institutes
Partner on methods, datasets and responsible-AI evaluation that advance accessibility and inclusion for the people we serve.
Labs
Contribute technical capability, prototyping and testing — helping accessible ideas become robust, usable and safe.
Companies & enterprises
Support the mission through partnership, sponsorship, in-kind capability or mission-aligned collaboration — on fair, arm's-length terms.

Tell us about your organisation and how you'd like to take part. We'll follow up to explore the right kind of membership or partnership.
A note on independence & governance
Octopus Future is an independent not-for-profit. Membership and partnership arrangements are governed by our Constitution and board-approved policies, including related-party and conflict-of-interest controls. No member or partner — including any commercial company — gains control of the charity, ownership of its charitable assets, or any entitlement beyond what is documented on fair, arm's-length terms. Collaboration proceeds only where it demonstrably advances our charitable purpose.
